Campground Rules & Regulations

Ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all campers

Thank you for choosing to stay at Beaver Dam Campground. We are looking forward to having you as our guest(s). The following rules are intended to provide an enjoyable family camping experience for you and your neighbors. Please note that failure to follow these rules could result in removal from the property without a refund.

Reservations

  • Payment in full is due at the time of booking.

Rates

  • Camping rates are per family (two adults and up to 4 children). Camping sites include wifi. Free dump station on-premises.

Refunds/Cancellations

NOTE: All refunds will exclude any administrative or booking fees collected at the time of reservation.

Seasonal Stay(NE)/Annual Monthly

  • All monies paid towards seasonal reservations are non-refundable

Transient Stays of 30 Days or More

  • If canceled 30 days prior to arrival date, payment in full will be refunded less a $25.00 processing fee.
  • If canceled less than 30 days prior to arrival date, total amount paid will be forfeited.

Weekly/Daily Stays

  • If canceled less than 7 days prior – full amount paid will be forfeited
  • If canceled 8–14 days prior to arrival – 50% of payment will be refunded
  • If canceled 15 or more days prior – full amount paid less a $25.00 processing fee will be refunded

No shows will result in forfeiture of the entire amount paid.

  • Management reserves the right to utilize the site for another guest

All refunds paid by credit card must be processed to the original credit card used.

  • If the original card is no longer active: proof of cancellation must be provided

All check or cash refunds will be issued by corporate check within 10–14 business days.

  • No refunds after check-in, for inclement weather, rule violations, or disorderly conduct. Management reserves the right to use discretion.

Booking fees are not subject to refund.


Payment Method

Visa, Discover, and MasterCard gladly accepted. Personal checks not accepted at check-in; accepted for payment 14 days prior to arrival.


Registration

All campers, visitors, guests, and pets must register upon arrival, per Maine State Law. Fees must be paid in advance. Rates are based on 2 adults over 18 and 4 family members under 18. Campers are responsible for their visitors registering and following rules.


Check-In/Out

  • Check-In: 3:00 pm
  • Check-Out: 11:00 am

Early check-in and late check-out available. Call ahead for site availability and fees.


Camping Equipment

Only one RV and no more than two camping units per site. RV and tent or two tents allowed.


Guests

All guests must register at the office and park in the visitor lot. Daily visitors pay a fee and must leave at quiet hours. One camping unit per site; additional units incur fees. An adult must be on site. Visitors should leave pets at home.


Vehicles

  • All vehicles must display a campground parking tag.
  • Only one car per site. Extra cars must park in visitor lot. Speed limit is 5 MPH.

Speed Limit

5 MPH. If it feels too slow, you’re doing it right. Motorcycles for in/out travel only. No unregistered or untagged motorized vehicles. No bike riding after dark.


Parking

Only one vehicle per site. Additional vehicles must park in the visitor lot. RV/vehicle washing is not permitted.


Quiet Hours

  • 11:00 pm to 8:00 am
  • Children must be on-site with parents by quiet hours
  • No noise from your site should be heard off-site

Campground Pet Rules

  • Pets on short leashes, not allowed to extend off site
  • No unattended pets
  • Pick up droppings immediately
  • Vaccination papers must be available
  • Remove nuisance pets immediately
  • Limit: 2 pets per site
  • No visitor dogs allowed
  • Children cannot walk pets
  • No pets in store, game room, bathrooms, or swimming areas
  • Service animals accommodated
  • Report all pet bites immediately

Campfires

  • Use fire rings only. Don’t move them.
  • Don’t leave fires unattended. Use water nearby.

Septic

Dump station in visitor lot. Honey wagon service $15 Mon/Thurs, sign up before 11:00.


Firewood / Trees

No out-of-state firewood. No cutting trees. Remove all brought-in wood before checkout. No nails or clotheslines on trees. Info: www.maine.gov/firewood


Sink (Grey) Water

No ground dumping of grey water. Use sealed sewer pipe or blue tanks. Blue tanks must be emptied in the dump station.


Dump Station / Portable Sani-Station

Free for registered guests. Honey wagon by request 24 hrs in advance, weather permitting.


Swimming Pool / Pond Warning!

No lifeguard. No diving. Swim at own risk. Pool hours: 9:30 am–dusk. No smoking, food, glass, pets in pool. Swim pants for toddlers required. Pool open Memorial Day–Labor Day.


Boating

No motorboats. Boats inspected for invasive species. Rentals available. Life jackets required. Adults must accompany kids under 12.


Trash

Use provided trash cans. Bagged trash only. Collected daily.


Bathhouses

Children under 6 must be accompanied. Cleanliness appreciated. Men’s side closes 10:30–11:00 am. Women’s 11:00–11:30 am.


Alcohol

Alcohol use is restricted to your site. No alcohol in common areas.


Telephone Calls

Emergency use only for office phone calls.


Game Room

Children must be accompanied. No pets. Under 10 not allowed after 8:00 pm without parents. No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades inside.


Weapons

No weapons of any kind allowed including airguns, BB guns, slingshots.


Motorcycles and Mopeds

Only for in/out. No joyriding. No riding toys or personal golf carts allowed.


Property Damage to Campground

Vandalism or damage will result in removal. No unsupervised use of knives or hatchets by children.


Clotheslines

Clotheslines are not permitted.


Activities

Weekend schedule in welcome packet or store. Athletic equipment must be signed out. Some require a deposit.

Bike Rules: Subject to Maine bicycle laws

  • Helmet use highly recommended
  • Parents must supervise children
  • Ride cautiously
  • No speeding or reckless riding
  • No riding after dark
  • No riding on the hill near ball field
  • One person per bike

Pool Rules: No lifeguard. Swim at your own risk.

  • No diving
  • Under 14 must be supervised by an adult
  • No horseplay
  • No pets
  • No food/drinks in glass
  • Plastic water allowed
  • No smoking
  • Only armbands and noodles allowed
  • Emergency phone located on pool house
  • Open 10:00 AM – dusk

Pond Rules

Swim in designated area only.
Fishing allowed, catch and release.
Fishing not allowed in designated swim area.
Do not remove turtles.


Privacy

Do not walk through occupied sites. Use paths and roads only.


Fine Print

Book your stay during one of our theme weekends and experience a family-fun extravaganza featuring activities for all ages! Enjoy arts and crafts, games, movies, contests, music, trivia, live entertainment and so much more!


May

May 15th – 17th Welcome Back Weekend! BDC is open! Enjoy half-price bike & boat rentals and free mini golf. Activities include a pot luck dinner followed by a community campfire and game night for our seasonal guests to get to know their fellow campers along with the BDC team!

May 22nd – 24th
Memorial Day Weekend! Join us as we celebrate the official kickoff to the 2026 camping season! Lots of activities for campers of all ages, including washer toss, corn hole & horseshoe tournaments, bike decorating & bike parade, Bingo for a Cause, Karaoke with DJ Adam, ice cream social, glow parade & candy hunt, and Bucky’s Birthday Celebration!

May 29th – 31st
Mom Appreciation Weekend! It’s all about moms this weekend! To honor them our activities will include coffee and muffins with mom, crafts, a special fashion show, free rentals for moms, a glass fusion class and more! Don’t miss this mom-umental weekend!


June

June 5th – 7th Pet Palooza Weekend! Unleash the fun! Our guests – both human and furry – will enjoy a pet show & parade, outdoor movie, pet related crafts, field games, designated beach / pond time for pups, pet food drive, and Bingo for a Cause with proceeds going to a local animal rescue. Our pets are the su-paw stars of this weekend!

June 12th – 14th
School’s Out Weekend! Hooray! Summer vacation is here and we hope you are ready to celebrate with us! Enjoy a visit from the Silver Circus, crafts, a mini golf tournament, and a delicious potluck dinner followed by a yummy s’mores bar! Don’t forget to come to the Camp Store to tell us something you learned this school year for a special treat!

June 19th – 21st
Father’s Day Weekend! This weekend we are honoring dads! Activities include wristband specials, trivia night, an outdoor movie, corn hole & volleyball tournaments, crafts & a pancake breakfast where dads eat free! Whether you are a dad, stepdad, dad-to-be, fur-dad, or grandad, this weekend is all about you!

June 26th – 28th
Campground Carnival Weekend! Get ready to enjoy carnival fun BDC style! The merriment will include crafts, carnival games with popcorn & cotton candy, our Soak ‘N’ Wet booth, a fun-filled performance by Bryson Lang, Bingo for a Cause, an outdoor movie and a glow parade! Step right up for the memory making!


July

July 2nd – 5th Fourth of July Celebration! Grab your red, white & blue and join us as we celebrate America! Activities include a variety of sports tournaments, boat races, bike decorating & parade, a Wildlife Encounters animal show, an ice cream social & third annual pie bake-off, Music Bingo, outdoor movie, patriotic site decorating contest, a 4th of July dance party with DJ Bobbie Freedom, and more!

July 10th – 12th
Wonka Weekend! Looking for a sweet time? Join us for an outdoor movie, candy bar bingo, crafts, free mini golf, an ice cream sundae bar, and a return visit from the amazing magician Steve Charette! Who will find the golden tickets?!

July 17th – 19th
Blast from the Past Weekend! We are traveling through time for some groovy fun including crafts, an outdoor movie, old-school field games, a corn hole tournament, Bucky’s sock hop with a costume contest, photo booth & root beer floats, and music by Hit the Bus! It’s sure to be all that and a bag of chips!

July 24th – 26th
Christmas in July! Let the holiday festivities begin! Activities include holiday crafts, Bucky’s Reindeer Games, a site decorating contest, “sleigh” races, washer toss tourney, candy bar bingo, a soup cook-off, and karaoke with DJ Adam! Yule be sorry if you miss it!

July 31st – August 2nd
Pirates & Mermaids Weekend! Ahoy Mateys! Set sail to BDC for a weekend of treasure and adventure! Come aboard for seashell crafts, a treasure hunt, our Soak ‘N’ Wet booth, our 2nd annual cardboard boat races, pirate & mermaid costume contest, and Bingo for a Cause! Aargh ya ready for the fun?!


August

August 7th – 9th Color Me Fun Weekend! Add a splash of color to your world! Enjoy colorful crafts, tie dye bandana making, a color run, a kids vs. campsites water war, and a guided paint night! The weekend will be color-full of excitement!

August 14th – 16th
Halloween in August! It’s Halloween in August! Join us for a fun-filled weekend of tricks and treats, including creepy crafts, costume party & trick or treating, a site decorating contest, i-Scream social, outdoor movie, and a balloon artist. Don’t miss the ghoulishly good times!

August 21st – 23rd
The Maine Event! Whether you’re a Maine-iac or “from away”, you will enjoy this fun-filled weekend celebrating all things Vacationland! You can look forward to Maine-themed crafts, a cribbage tournament, photo scavenger hunt & relay races, canoe races, an outdoor movie, and Bingo for a Cause! Check out the Camp Store this weekend for some special Maine treats!

August 28th – 30th
Wild West Weekend! Saddle up for our western weekend! Activities include crafts, horse and sack races, a western piñata, horseshoe tournament, root beer floats at Bucky’s Saloon and a western potluck dinner! Yee-haw!!


September

September 4th – 7th Labor Day Weekend! BDC is the place to be for the last summer holiday! Join us for crafts, a coloring contest, glow parade & candy hunt, Music Bingo, a variety of sports tournaments, candy bar bingo, ice cream social, and a musical performance by our favorite country music duo – Preston and Curry! It’s sure to be a fun-filled weekend to remember!


October

October 9th – 12th Gettin’ Chili Weekend! Enjoy BDC’s beautiful fall foliage while you chill out with some chili! Cook & compete, or just come to eat! Activities include our very popular Chili Cook-Off, musical entertainment by Andrew Favreau, a community campfire, fall crafts and scavenger hunt, sports tournaments galore, and Bingo for a Cause. Join us as we bid a fond farewell to the 2026 camping season!
